The backstory
If you're wondering what this is all about, let me give you a quick rundown.

If you're wondering what this is all about, let me give you a quick rundown.
What is it?
Blue Note Dispatch is a music recommendation service delivered straight to your inbox every Monday.
Yes, I know — a newsletter in 2024 without any AI might sound impossibly boring. But in reality, email is still the app people use every day. It's simple, clean, accessible on any device, and everything stays archived. No extra logins or platforms to remember. It's the perfect medium for all ages.
The name comes from Blue Note Records, which released the first album of French producer Ludovic Navarre, aka St. Germain. That was my first real encounter with modern electronic music. A freshly imported CD from France, released by a label known mostly for jazz… it was a blast.
Why?
The idea for sending music recommendations came from my friends. They loved when I picked music for them but didn’t want to dig through my Tidal playlists. Sure, every platform today offers recommendations, but they don’t always hit the mark. Sometimes you want to explore new genres or discover music from different eras without scrolling endlessly through thousands of playlists. That’s where I come in — a curated selection made for you.

Should you subscribe?
According to recent data, around 120,000 new songs are released daily on streaming platforms. That’s a tidal wave of music. We all have other things to do, so I’m here to ease the FOMO and make the search seamless.
Of course, you can trust the algorithm to serve you music similar to what you already like. But I have a feeling that a human touch — with context, taste, and storytelling — is something else entirely.
About me
I come from a musical family. Everyone played (or at least learned) an instrument — for me it was piano and saxophone. Every Christmas, we’d gather by the fireplace for family carolling, so music has always been close to my heart.
In 2019 I went to my first music festival and was mesmerised by the power of musical storytelling. That experience inspired me to learn how to DJ, because I wanted to guide people on those emotional journeys too.
About a year later, my friend Malwina asked me to play a set for a guided breathing meditation called Psychedelic Breath. Three years later, we’ve done events for Spotify in London, TikTok in Warsaw, and countless breathing sessions as part of a collective with friends.

What should you expect?
Every Monday you’ll get an email with a few warm words for the week ahead and a curated selection of music. Ten hand-picked tracks will be waiting for you as a smart link list — no matter if you use Apple Music, Tidal, or Spotify.
If you don’t feel like clicking through each track, there’s a “Listen on streaming services” button that takes you straight to the full playlist on your platform of choice.
And if you love what we’re doing enough to support us with your hard-earned cash, we’ve got a little thank-you gift. Paying subscribers get an embedded playlist directly on the website — so with just one click, you can preview tracks or listen in full (if you’re on Spotify).
Love,
Kuba
