Crystalvisions - 2026-03-20
Hey everyone, this week's selection starts with "Crystalvisions" by Edmondson. In his new EP lxyz.01: a listener-curated record, the Newcastle-born producer invited fans to vote on which tracks from a batch of eight would make it onto the final vinyl pressing — a refreshing pushback against the passive nature of streaming culture. Released on his own Lissoms imprint, "Crystalvisions" carries all the hallmarks of Edmondson's sound: atmospheric, deep, and rooted in UK electronic movements. One for the late-night drives.
Next we're slowing down into Floating Points' classic "For Marmish". This track originated from sessions Sam Shepherd recorded in Vancouver on a formidable early-era Buchla modular system, and it became a centrepiece of his debut album Elaenia. A late-night, dreamlike piece where smooth notes drift through reverb-drenched layers — timeless and endlessly rewarding.
Lastly, Kasper Koman is bringing spring to our speakers with his newest single "Different Plain", part of the freshly released Gertrude EP on Anjunadeep. The Dutch producer has been refining his signature blend of melodic progressive house for years, and this one sits right in his sweet spot — warm, unhurried, and gently uplifting at 122 BPM. A perfect soundtrack for the longer days ahead.
Enjoy Saturday to the sounds of new picks. We're officially in the spring season.
