Day After - 2026-04-25

A bit late, but here we are - another week of hand-picked music, specially for you by the BND team.
Anja Schneider needs little introduction in Berlin techno circles - DJ, producer, radio broadcaster, founder of Mobilee Records back in 2005, and the woman behind SoUS Music since 2017. "Day After" opens her brand-new Artbroken EP on SoUS Music - fresh off the press and worth your attention. It's a tightly built piece of Berlin house with the kind of confident restraint that only comes from someone who has been doing this for two decades.
Next up is O/Y, the project of Berlin-based modular live act Jacob Ahrends. Modular-driven dub techno that breathes rather than pushes - the kind of music made for headphones, long train rides, and rooms with not too much light.
And lastly, a true blast from the past - Ted Alexander's "Energy". What makes it worth revisiting now is how well it has aged. While a lot of dance music from that era already feels dated, here we can still hear that captivating energy, worthy of the peak-time of the night.
Have a lovely week,
xoxo
