The Golden Thread - 2026-10-16
We can safely say that autumn is in full swing, and we’re starting to look for a cosier setting to enjoy our music.
We can safely say that autumn is in full swing, and we’re starting to look for a cosier setting to enjoy our music. With that in mind, we open with “The Golden Thread” by Luciano, remixed by Charles Webster and released on Luciano’s own Cadenza imprint. The two exchanged tracks for reinterpretation, each stepping into the other’s world, and Webster’s rework merges minimalistic beats, soft tribal rhythms and melodic soundscapes into something perfectly suited for the season.
Next up is “New Day” by QT-HIGH, the deep and melodic alias of Mexican multi-instrumentalist Salvador Rizo, released on Kindisch. At its heart lies a soft, soulful male vocal carrying a message of renewal and new beginnings, wrapped in warm organic house: gentle piano chords, understated bass, and percussion that flows rather than pushes. Intimate and expansive at the same time.
And finally, Max Cooper delivers the latest instalment of the fabric presents series - the first release in fabric’s history available in Spatial Audio. The mix spans thirty years of his relationship with club music, from seminal 90s productions to contemporary cuts, with many tracks reworked into his own edits and hybrids. Keep an ear out for Boards of Canada’s “Dayvan Cowboy” and his edit of The Future Sound Of London’s “Papua New Guinea” woven in among the exclusives.
Have a wonderful week,
XoXo
